I recently read the news that EA had signed up Jade Raymond of Assassin’s Creed fame to head up their new open world game, which they want to compete with the likes of GTA and Fallout as they don’t currently have that type of game in the catalogue at the moment. GC: We agree, it does seem a very good fit for Telltale Games, and they’ve already done a British property before with Wallace & Gromit, but we know of no credible rumours that they’re actually perusing the licence. Let’s hope that’s Tales From The Borderlands in the case of Telltale, and not Game Of Thrones. You’re only as good as your last game I guess. And then I looked them up and found out they did the terrible Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock, so… maybe not. Do you think it would actually happen?Īlthough I assume that’s the most likely scenario I was going to say I’d prefer the guys that did Until Dawn, as they’re British and the graphics in that game were great. Now that the show is really big in America surely it’s the perfect thing for Telltale Games to work on? It certainly makes more sense to me than Game Of Thrones and being Doctor Who you don’t have to worry about continuity (or expensive actors). Given the news about Doctor Who references in Black Ops III and the whole business with Lego Dimensions I wonder if we’re actually inching closer to an actual proper Doctor Who game? There have been quite a few before but they’ve always been low budget rubbish by terrible developers.
